Heroes: "Angels and Monsters" (Ep 5)

*sigh*

Well, lets start with what we already knew:
-Something is up with Mohinder's mood swings
-Linderman isn't actually there in physical presence
-Tracy was one of three triplets--Niki (dead) and Barbara (we're yet to meet).
-Peter sucks
-Ando kills Hiro in the future

What we learned this episode:
-Mohinder is now Spiderman with a serious case of PMS. Well, more of a combination of Spiderman and those giant spiders from Eight-legged Freaks. Horrible movie.
-Papa Patrelli is not a good guy
-Linderman is actually an image being projected into the minds of Daphne, Nathan, and others by Matt Parkman's father.
-Peter sucks EVEN WORSE than we thought.
-Some of the heroes were born normal, but injected with powers. Nathan, Niki, Tracy, and some others.

Items of discussion:
-Why are Tracy's powers manifesting just now? Why not earlier? Does it have anything to do with Niki's death?
-We have never ONCE seen Angela Patrelli nervous or afraid. But man oh man, she was freaking out this time. That's not a good sign. And her dream? Disgusting.
-THE PUPPET MAN. :-O This man is the most terrifying thing they've ever had on the show. Holy crap, he gives me the hibblyjibblies. I hate puppets.
-There's no way that Ando is actually dead. But he definitely has a reason to kill Future-Hiro now. Seriously. Hiro, you are an idiot.
-Yay! Mohinder has (at least temporarily) sidelined Maya!!! All is right in Heroesville, lol.

Sorry for the weak blog for this episode. I'm a little behind, and playing catch-up.

I really do enjoy this show, but it does make me pretty angry. I don't like the direction that most of the characters are moving in, and they consistently make stupid/irrational decisions. It's like a soap opera.

Heroes: One of Us, One of Them (Ep 4)

So the love/hate continues...

It looks like we're going to be "treated" to YET ANOTHER previously dead person coming back to the show next week. COME ON. And Adam coming BACK?!! This is killing me. I can't get over how much I really DON'T like about this show, but somehow still manage to still want to watch it.

Someone needs to explain to me how this future peter/present peter relationship is working out. I thought that Peter had acquired Claire's ability, and therefore couldn't die. Ugh, I'm so confused. And WHY would he want Sylar's power if he can just naturally absorb other people's? Sylar has to chop heads to get powers, Peter just gets them.

In general, they HAVE to stop messing with time travel. They ALWAYS ruin everything. Just stay where you are, and everything will be peachy. GOSH. It almost seems like the show is more about time travel these days, and less about the abilities. I don't really know what to make of it, but time travel allows for some very significant holes in the plot.

Technically, can't they ALWAYS go back and change the past, so the future is different? So why do they even worry about the future? They're all so concerned with what happens later that they don't even realize that things can be changed (like Peter shot Nathan). Add to it that no one actually dies, and you have a pretty stress-free life as a hero.

Matt Parkman: Dumb and boring character. I'd be fine if he died and stayed dead. STAYED DEAD. And I don't really buy the pairing with Daphne. She looks like a teenager.

Maya: Looks like she's just the nagging girlfriend now. Great...as if she wasn't AWFUL enough.

Mohinder: look what you did, now you're frickin' VOLDEMORT. seriously--what the HECK was that?

Sylar: What the what? I don't know what to make of Sylar. Is he good, is he bad? PICK A SIDE DANGIT. I hope he kicks the crap out of peter at some point this season. And who, by chance, would be the father of his little boy 4 years from now? There's a step missing, because usually it takes more than 4 years for a complete psychopath to turn into a normal dude that someone would actually have a relationship with. Unless she's a psychopath.

I'm thinking there's a chance that it could be Claire, which is horrifyingly illegal.

Peter: He feels the need to "save the world" ALL THE TIME, but yet he's the one causing pretty much ALL of the problems. Out of all the characters, he's by far the dumbest. I do not like that he's the new Sylar either. ANGER!

Claire: I like evil Claire. It's much better than over-dramatic teenage claire. Now if she could just eliminate present Peter from the picture, the world would be a much better place. I know, it can't happen... Milo Venimiglia is the only reason women watch this show, lol. But if she turns out to be Sylar's baby mama, I think I might just explode.

Trikbarbsica: Yes...that is officially her name now. Did anyone else notice the villain dude with the glasses that died in the bank in that picture with her?! I can't same I'm shocked that she's ending up with Nathan...but I won't be surprised if they find out their related later on. DRAMA ENSUES!

Nathan: He had to go all Beautiful Mind on us now, huh? and WHAT HAPPENED to his wife and children? He seems completely unconcerned with them. I know he's divorced, but hello...CHILDREN.

Mama Patrelli: I like her, even though she's NUTS.

Molly: Please--PLEASE go away.

Daphne: meh. I'd rather have more Elle/Veronica Mars than Daphne.

Hiro and Ando: They're SO annoying. Not endearing at all like he used to be. That will change I'm sure though. And digging up Adam? Yeah, not the smartest move. People on this show are always doing stupid things and asking ALL THE WRONG QUESTIONS. It makes me crazy. Seriously.

HRG aka Noah Bennet: anyone notice that Sylar named his kid Noah? I'm thinking HRG is dead in the future, and Sylar names his kid after his former partner. Sad day. I wouldnt' be surprised if he's killed by some dude that is angry at the company.

Adam Monroe: DEAD. DIE. please?

WHERE is veronica mars?

So as you can see--I get pretty passionate about heroes. Why is it that everything always happens the wrong way? Why are all fo these people so dumb?! It drives me to irrational levels of anger. I know it's just a tv show...right? Ugh.

What do you think of the future in Heroesville? It doesn't look too promising. Who do you think is returning next week? I personally think it's going to be Papa Patrelli, but I have no idea. Of course they HAVE to bring people back from the dead. What about Hiro's father, or Niki and D.L.? Heroes airs Monday nights on NBC at 9:00 Eastern Time.

Heroes: One of Us, One of Them (Ep 3)

Well well well, we've got some interesting stuff going on in the Heroes universe. LOTS of stuff going down. First, some main points:

-Hiro is getting on my nerves. He IS very self-righteous, and has no reason to drag Ando around. And he's got a habit of having LAME storylines.
-I'm convinced that Claire's bio-mom is going to burn down the Bennett residence. I mean, come on. How can it not happen? She's very fiery, lol. And they've already burned their old house to a crisp...why not the new one?
-I'm sorry, but Tracy is on the wrong set. The Stepford Wives was a while ago.
-While they say that Sylar doesn't eat people's brains...I still think he does. All this talk about "the hunger," and "feeding." It's total Silence of the Lambs stuff. Creeps. Me. Out.
-As much as I hate Maya, I might hate Matt Parkman even more.
-No Veronica Mars? :o(

Tracy can now be her own character because we DID get to see a dead Niki/Jessica body in the casket. Poor Michah, losing both of his parents when everyone else in Heroesville gets to be resurected. Where's Mohinder with Claire's vial of blood this time? Anyway, she visits Micah and learns that she and Niki were born the same day in the same hospital, by the same Doctor. Apparently there are a lot of Niki/Jessica/Tracy's floating aroun dout there because Dr. Zimmerman answers the door and says "Barbara?" So there's a Barabara floating around out there...which IF they were all the same woman, would be named something like... hm... Trikbarbsica. Holy crap. Apparently Dr. Z "created" all these women, hence my reference to the Stepford Wives.

In teenage-land, Claire isn't peachy keen with being a victim all the time. She wants to learn how to fight so that she can take some revenge on Sylar. I wonder how she's going to react when she finds out daddy dearest is now partnered with the brain-eater. Cue the fire at the Bennett home please, lol. She's taken some top secret files (that of course, were left in plain site in the kitchen), and I think she's going to go try her hand at some hand-to-hand combat. This seems to fit with what we saw from her in episode one when she tried to shoot Future Peter.

Speaking of Future Peter, he's taken Present Peter--AGAIN. And this time I think Present Peter is going WITH Future Peter to the future. Tim Kring--YOU'RE KILLING ME. Haven't you seen Back to the Future? Once the future changes, Future Peter must start to fade, and then DISAPPEAR. Go rent it Tim Kring, it's a classic.

We're being faced with some interesting stuff, though. There's a classic good/evil battle going on inside many of the characters:
-Claire is struggling with her desire to use her powers for the good, but also wants to take revenge on those who have hurt her. As she is indestructable and no longer has the deterance of pain, she's really got nothing stopping her from becoming a power-crazy villain.
-Noah Bennett (aka HRG) is struggling like Claire with his desire to do good, but will stop at nothing to protect his family. He's being forced to work with Sylar, but still wants to take him out.
-Sylar is struggling with this "hunger," (again the brain-eating reference), to kill and acquire new abilities. But apparently deep down, and I think this has more to do with Mama Patrelli mind-control, he wants to do good. But let's face it, Sylar will always be a villain.
-Hiro is becoming increasingly arrogant and paranoid. His control of Ando (and Ando's resistance to that control) was forshadowed when Hiro visited the future and saw Future Ando kill Future Hiro with red lightning balls. Something tells me Hiro and Ando aren't going to remain BFF's for much longer.

What do you make of all of this symbolism? Anyone have any thoughts as to the plot of the new season? Heroes airs Monday nights on NBC at 9:00pm eastern time.

Heroes: Villains -- Episode 1&2

Gosh this show...I love it, but it makes me SO MAD. >:o(

Observations:

1. Why does no one ever ACTUALLY die on this show? Nathan has survived twice, Syler is still alive, Horn-Rims got shot but Claire's blood brought him back, Niki (aka tracy) is still alive, LINDERMAN?!!?! is still alive...sort of? Adam is trapped alive underground, but showed up in Angela's dream... Seriously, why do I even get nervous? They all come back...

2. I am NOT digging the new mohinder. Maybe he'll kill maya during one of their random make-out sessions (what in the world?). Maya is the biggest waste of a character. I actually want her to die on the show. And Mohinder...oh Mohinder. Why?

3. FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!!! Peter always ruins everything. But as long as that Irish hag Kaitlyn is out of the picture for good, I can live with it.

4. Triki (I'm calling Niki/Tracy "Triki"...it seems fitting enough for her) has a cool new actual power (as opposed to just being really angry and having a split personality). the freezing thing is actually kind of cool (pun! ugh...). I dunno, I've always felt she was kind of a waste of a character when it came to powers, so she seems a little bit more legit now.

5. Where is Micah and his over-dramatic cousin? Not that I miss her. Ugh.

6. Claire's real mom freaks. me. out. Seriously, like what was that? No hello? No, I'll just show you my fiery hands and stare at you the creepiest way possible. Bizarre.

7. The whole hiro thing with speedette. You sent ANDO to get the formula? dumb. As usual. Doing dumb stuff.

8. I'm not sad to be rid of Fat Horn-Rimmed Glasses. And I must say that I'm glad that Veronica Mars is still alive.

9. ANGELA PETRELLI IS SYLAR'S REAL MOM? WHAT?!!!?! *falls off couch from shock.* Aw, it looks like Peter and Nathan don't have just a long-lost daughter/niece, but an EVIL BROTHER. This show is more like a soap opera ever day. Or Alias. Secret family members popping up everywhere...

And the all-important #10:

10. We finally discover that indeed Sylar does NOT eat people's brains. I thought he did. :-O

See what I mean? I get sooo mad because all the people are soo stupid. It's no wonder the world is always in danger. lol...
