Chuck vs. The Break-Up (Ep 3)

Sorry for how late this is... I've been slackin' a bit. New episode tonight so I'll make this one short.

Poor Chuck. Bryce Larkin is back to make his life miserable, and get all makie-outie with Sarah. Bryce quickly finds out, though, that Sarah isn't all OMG BRYCE YOU'RE BACK! She's more like, "Chuck and I are completely professional." NOT. Bryce sees right through it and warn's Chuck about how he is responsible for Sarah's recent lapses in judgement--the most recent mistake landing her in the hospital.

Chuck and Sarah sit in the courtyard near the fountain and have a heart-to-heart. Seriously--HOW do Ellie and Awesome afford that place they live, and is it a house or an apartment? I can't figure it out. Anyways, Chuck gives the usual "I know we can never be together my life is miserable" speech, and Sarah cries. This is bull. We KNOW they'll end up together in the end.

I honestly prefer when the show does NOT focus on the relationship stuff. It's supposed to be a comedy, and I know they're giving the characters a few more dimensions to make them likeable, but this was seriously like the whole episode. I can't even remember what the sub-plots were.

Tonight we get Nicole Richie guess starring as Sarah's nemesis, which should be interesting. Maybe she's channeling all that recent hatred for Paris Hilton and turning herself into an evil character. Should be fun!

Chuck vs. the Seduction (Ep 2)

Chuck is not a happy camper. The Intersect was blown to bits, so now he's stuck playing spies while the CIA begins building a new one...again. As it turns out, the key card that Chuck recovered last week contained a virus planted by Fulcrum to destroy the computer. Sad day for the CIA.

There were three stories meshing together, all involving some sort of seduction. Well...2 out of the three. The first two were just minor sideplots. The first was Lester's new position as the assistant Manager at the Buy More, and his lack of control of the tech staff. Shocking that no one will listen... He's really not much different than Morgan. This was really just for comic relief, and didn't really relate to much.

The second plot involved Ellie and Awesome, who feel that the spark has disappeared a bit from their relationship. Which isn't good because they're supposed to get married at some point this season. Awesome goes to Chuck for advice, but of course Chuck is out on a mission, so he talks to Morgan...who has been obsessed with Ellie since he hit puberty. He know EVERYTHING about her. Uh, yeah right. This is Morgan we're talking about. Awesome ends up planning a date comprised of Klondike bars and Sister Act, and Ellie isn't thrilled. Yep, Awesome's not feelin' so awesome, and ends up on the couch.

The primary story of course revolved around Chuck and his on-again/off-again thing with Sarah. Women... geez, what can you do? Poor guy. Anyways, it turns out that there is another key card for the Intersect, and its keeper is a woman they call the "Black Widow" because she has a nasty habit of terminating any man she happens to... well, you know. So it's up to Chuck to seduce her and find the keycard. Chuck...seduce. Uh...this is gonna be good.

To help train Chuck in the art of seduction, they bring in guest star John Larroquette...who hasn't been in that much. He's a ledgendary former agent named Roan who has quite a way with women. Unfortunately he's drunk and passed out quite frequently. Sarah insists that Chuck is charming enough on his own, and doesn't need the help of a washed up joke of an agent. We all know she's just trying to cover the fact that she's got Chuckmania, if you know what I mean, lol.

Anyways, Chuck mixes the advice from both Sarah and Roan, and manages (of course) to get Sarah and Casey captured, while he escapes with the keycard...or Sipher, whatever they call it. He's got a choice--go after Casey (I don't think he's thinking about Casey much) and Sarah, or let them die and keep the sipher. Well, Chuck being the gentleman that he is puts together a plan and ends up saving both Sarah and Casey, all while keeping the sipher. Way to go Agent Chuck!

So he finally decides to go after sarah, and opens the door...


...


... AND OMG! Who is standing there???! BRYCE LARKIN?!?! Poor, poor Chuck. Bryce shows up to ruin his life once again. Tune in next week to see Chuck and Bryce fight over Sarah. I wonder how Casey feels...

Chuck airs on Monday nights before Heroes at 8:00pm eastern on NBC

Chuck Versus the First Date: Episode 1

Sorry for the late blog, I'm a little behind. I even missed Heroes last night! :-o Sad day. That blog will come sometime tomorrow. Anyways, ONWARD.

I don't know about you guys, but I missed Chuck. I was a little worried after the writers strike that this show would be one of the casualties. But, lucky for us we get a whole new season of the Buy More and the ever-so-serious Agent Casey.

Now, last season ended with the creation of a new Intersect supercomputer, and Casey was instructed to "eliminate" Chuck. OH NOES! Also, we can't forget about the very elusive and mysterious Bryce Larkin (Yes, his name is awesome. I just want you all to know that his coolness is absolutely based on my life. It's a fact.... Dangit, gotta get over to wikipedia...). Bryce had gone into deep cover with the evil organization "Fulcrum" to try to dissolve it from the inside. That's going to come up later.

SO the season begins with poor Chuck dangling from a building with that dude that barfed flies from The Green Mile. Not a good place to be. He's got a keycard for the new Intersect, and fly-barfer wants it. Luckily, guess who shows up to save the day? SARAH AND CASEY! With the keycard in safe keeping, Chuck is informed that he's being let go, and Sarah tells him he's awesome and can do whatever he wants. But we like him at the Buy More... And little does he know that Casey (while not happy about it), is all set to take him out, cajun style. (ok, not really).

Ellie and Awesome couldn't be happier, but Morgan is shocked and disappointed because Chuck turns down the assistant manager position down. WHERE ARE YOU GOING CHUCK? YOU. CAN'T. LEAVE. We also discover that the Weinerlicious has had a bit of an upgrade, it's now a futuristic orange smoothy joint. I, as well as Chuck, voiced my opinion that I missed the "Bavarian charm" of the older place. Yes, I talk to my TV. I do have a life. Dangit. But hey, he finally gets a REAL DATE from Sarah, and she DOESN'T BRING HER GUN. This can't end well. Sarah should just attach her gun to her hand permanantly.

Things get broken up as they are surrounded at the restaurant, and the keycard is stolen. So much for freedom/death for Chuck... Unless they can get it back. And--to make a long story short, Morgan saves Chuck by talking over the speaker phone about Call of Duty, and Chuck recovers the keycard. I can't give away everything...

Chuck is going to be free/dead indeed. But wait! The keycard is really a virus from Fulcrum, and it blows up the new intersect! Which therefore means Chuck is not free, but that's good because now Casey doesn't have to kill him! Yay! Not that he would have anyway. We all know that Casey is just a big softie.

So we're off to new adventures with Chuck! And things are only going to get better! We've got guest stars galore coming, from Nicole Richie to BUSTER BLUTH (!!!!) to Cory Matthews... It's gonna be great! What did you think of the premier?
